MUAs, I need your help! Thanks to Instagram I now have this new found desire to step up my makeup game. Some of you young ladies are SUPER talented and I’ve taken to YouTube and started stalking quite a few of you. (Yea, I said it. lol).
I recently took a trip to my local Walgreen’s and stocked up on a few new lip colors. I’ve been really wanting to see myself in a deep purple (almost black) lipstick. They didn’t have the exact color I had in mind, but Revlon did have this “Black Cherry” shade that I thought was worth a try. And I have to say, I really like it! Which is saying a lot, because I generally hate the way I look in lipstick. Next up…the perfect shade of Barbie pink???
What do you guys think? Any suggestions on other colors I should try?

Wow! I checked them out and I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first. I’m always a little leery of taking makeup advice from people with much fairer skin than my own because I’m often not sure if the tips will translate. But I have to say, I was really impressed with what I saw. I only watched one video because it was late, but it was SOOOO good! Can’t wait to watch more! Thanks!
There are lots of great products out there, but check out makeupgameonpoint.com for a really great MUA called Jackie O, her youtube name skips my mind right now. She has some nice tutorials.
! I’m not a huge makeup person for myself, but I really love it on others, and I’m getting more and more into lipsticks too. Have fun with it!
As for makeup itself, NYX has some gorgeous pinks and liners & glosses that are great quality, low price. I usually get ‘em on http://www.cherryculture.com. I also recently discovered OCC lip tars. They are GREAT, and omg you can get so many delicious colors just by blending, mixing and matching. I’m a bit darker than you, so I’m scared of baby pinks, lol, but ‘Anime’ liptar is a great fuschia lip, and I get lots of different looks by mixing. I don’t do too much experimenting with the colors, but you’re super stylish, so I’m sure you’ll rock ‘em out
