Spring is right around the corner which means it’s time to start thinking about your wardrobe approach. In the winter and summer months, it’s a little easier to know how to dress when you leave the house every day. You either need to be bundled for dear life or you need to have on as much breathable fabric as possible…or risk sweating to death. The spring is just a little different. It might start off warm during the day, but the cooler temperatures usually sweep in at night. The solution? Light layers!

I absolutely love this jumpsuit from Flying Tomato. It’s so on trend for spring. I know when you think of spring, the first things that tend to come to mind are pastels and florals. Well this spring it’s all about mixing femininity with edge. This season’s runway shows were all about lace and floral in dark palettes like black and navy. This jumpsuit hits on all of those points. And what’s even better is it was only $25!

I kept the styling simple by pairing it with a dark denim Kensie jacket for $25 and a black, Anne Klein backpack for $39. Can we talk about this bag for a second? The price point is insane to me, because the bag has such a luxe look and feel. Funny enough I almost didn’t buy it. I loved it the second I saw it, but for reasons I can’t explain, was having second thoughts. But when the shopper next to me picked it up and walked off with it, I felt a piece of my soul die and I knew I had made a terrible mistake. As fate would have it, she, too, second guessed it and put it back–giving me the perfect opportunity to rectify my wrong.

I completed the look with a dark lip and a black sandal. I know you don’t believe me yet, but you don’t have to be “Easter fresh” in a pastel palette to be perfectly on trend for spring. You can trust me. I’m a lawyer. Lol.
