Ever have that one item that you just can’t stop wearing…no matter how hard you try? For me, that item is this ribbed maxi dress from A.L.C. ย It’s so comfortable and figure flattering that I can’t stop reaching for it time and time again.

It’s the perfect fall item and since the temperatures here in Chicago are getting increasingly lower, I feel like I have to get as much wear out of it as possible before packing it away for the winter.

The dress was part of my recent collaboration with Gilt City. I picked it out to wear as I explored the city trying out new Chicago experiences and restaurants. I loved it the moment it arrived. What I love most about this dress is the quality. It’s a simple maxi dress, but the materials really elevate it. It’s thick and holds its shape really well. I also really like the color. In the past, I would have stayed away from a color so close to my skintone for fear that it would wash me out, but for some reason I feel like it really works. But honestly, I love the fit so much I wouldn’t care what color it was. I would still wear it over and over again. lol

It was unseasonably warm this particular day, so I woreย it with a pair of tan sandals and a bag in the same color. The dress is bit pricey, but matched with shoes and a bag both priced under $50, it’s the perfect high/low look.
